Malala Yousafzai Filming In Barnard Quad

Bwog heard that Pakistani education activist Malala Yousafzai is in Barnard quad right now. According to a tip, she’s “being filmed talking to some lady.” If you have more information, please let us know at tips@bwog.com. Or use the anonymous tip form.

Update, 2:15:

Sania Khalid tips that “Malala is here for an interview with cbs! She stopped and talked to me about why she is here in Urdu!” and even got to take a picture with Malala (below).

Can't really tell it's her though.

@Goose Do you really have “perhaps shoot is not the best way to describe it” as a tag? Unbelievable.

  • A Pakistani says:

@A Pakistani I’m so proud of this brave young woman. I’d personally love to see her go to Columbia.

    1. question says:

@question if she applied to columbia/barnard, could she get financial aid? she would be an international student.

Maybe she’ll get really rich from book sales, though.

      1. A Pakistani says:

@A Pakistani Yeah I doubt money is going to be an issue for her from now on.

      2. Anonymous says:

@Anonymous I heard that Columbia and Barnard both offer a couple merit-based scholarships each year to exceptional international students.

        I could be wrong though.

        1. Anonymous says:

@Anonymous Well she can go pretty much wherever she wants and not worry about funding. I think she’ll follow the Pakistani favorite end up going to Oxford or Cambridge.

      3. question says:

@question I thought CC/SEAS offered fin aid for internationals? Not need blind, but fin aid all the same no?

        1. Anonymous says:

@Anonymous Yeah you are right there is full need based aid for internationals, its just that its not need blind so its harder to get in as an international needing a lot of aid….i think we can all safely assume that money or no Ms. Yousafzai’s resume thus far would make her a no brainer.
