To sail the syrup seas or heed the fool’s trumpet?

Your social life is booming. Two, count ’em, two nighttime events on the Thursday before Finals Day One. But alas, for all us non-Barnardians they overlap, so which to choose? Your options: Midnight Breakfast (which opens its doors to CC/SEAS at midnight, Barnard seniors at 11, and the rest of Barnard at 11:30), and Orgo Night, which begins at 11:59 pm. There are pros and cons to either choice, of course.

Midnight Breakfast this year is pirate themed, an obvious pro, and titled “Midnight Aboard the Black Pearl.” They also promise cookies and cream and mint chocolate chip ice creams (wait breakfast?), though who can say if there’ll be any left after the hour of snacking time Barnardians get before Columbians break the doors down.

Orgo Night offers you convenience, seeing as you’ll probably be in Butler anyway, and if you were planning on studying in 209 tonight you should, well, not. If you can’t even bring yourself to make it past ButCaf for some real sustenance, the LeFrak Gym probably seems like an arctic trek. Orgo Night promises its usual, albeit rib-tickling brand of humor, with probably more than one CUMB pun, a number of Theta jabs, a song about PrezBo’s hair (because who can resist that flow?), and other forms of glee.
