The photo actually references the Harvard article. The man on the left is a student.

One of life’s many unwanted encroachments.

To start things off, Cornell University has been assisted in their plans for rampant imperialist aggression with a $50 million donation towards their proposed NYC tech campus, in exchange for certain naming rights. (Forbes)

Meanwhile, the fight rages on against a planned 65 story office building that would stand adjacent to Grand Central Terminal, with a Harvard law professor having been brought to weigh in. (New York Times)

Fear not, however, for despite these signs New York is not gentrifying. At least, it is not gentrifying nearly as quickly as it could, not even ranked in the top five most rapidly gentrifying cities (Portland and DC topping the list). (Washington Post)

Mike Huckabee, once again appears to be considering a run for the presidency, once again is discussing issues on which no one would consider him an authority, and once again is encroaching on your life (by being a part of it in any kind of way at all). (MSNBC)

Finally, the worst encroachment of all: the encroachment on love. Harvard University has strengthened their prohibition on that most intimate love shared between professors and students (hint: not the love of learning). (Fox)
