Bwoglines: Boeing 737 And Rich People Edition

A lot of crazy news this Monday. And two hot singles from our favorite female rappers.

Happening in the world: On Sunday, an Ethiopian Airlines flight crashed, killing all 157 people on board. It crashed after six minutes of taking off in clear weather, 31 miles south of Addis Ababa. This is the second crash that occurred from a Boeing 737 MAX, the last one being in October, with a Lion Air flight. The cause of the crash remains unknown, as investigation will take at least a couple of weeks. (NY Times)

Happening in the US: A woman attempting to take a selfie with a jaguar gets attacked by the big cat at the Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari Park in Arizona. The jaguar clawed her arm as she neared the fence of the enclosure. Nothing life-threatening. (NBC News)

Happening in New York City: A rich real estate developer named Harry Macklowe installed 42-foot tall pictures of him and his new wife, to taunt his ex-wife. About as tall as a letter of the Hollywood sign, the pictures look at the northwest corner of Park Avenue and East 56th street. Macklowe and his first wife, Linda, were married for over 50 years when they got their $2 billion fortune divided. Annoying? Pointless? Petty? Yeah. (NY Times)

Happening on campus: Join Barnard Student Life for a free Zumba class in the basement of Barnard Hall from 7:30pm to 8:30pm tonight! Space is limited. Check the Facebook event for more details.

Overheard: “You’re just gonna lose to weed again.”

Song(s) of the day: On Saturday, Rico Nasty dropped a new single called “Sandy”. CupcakKe also dropped her new single “Bird Box” on Saturday. Listen to them both. Please.

I don’t know if this is the right model via Flickr.
