Happening in the US: Lori Loughlin, Felicity Huffman, and 48 other people have been charged with bribing athletic coaches, standardized test proctors, and administrators in order to get their children accepted into elite universities. Loughlin allegedly paid as much as $500,000 in bribes for the University of Southern California to accept both of her daughters. (NY Times)

Happening in NYC: Gregory Abbott, the founder of International Dispensing Corp. and popular NYC beverage distributor, was charged with paying over $100,000 to alter his daughter’s SAT and ACT scores. He is one of the 50 people charged in the Lori Loughlin cheating ring. (New York Post)
