As college students, we might no longer be able to emulate the epic highs and lows of high school football, but this weekend at Bwog, we got close.
Bwog’s epic highs:
- Heard my dad say “Motherfucker” for the first time in my life
- Finally saw the Vampire Weekend chandelier in real life. Cried a little bit
- Kissed (!!!) my crush (!!!) (Gay rights!!!!)
- Went to a bar to only later find out that Forbes has called it the fourth best bar in the world (??!)
- Went to Brooklyn to see my godmother and had the best sushi I have ever had in my brief life
- Went to a prohibition-themed party and drank a lot
- Spent hours in a Hamilton classroom with my friends thinking about small guys in funny hats
- Attended the Athena Film Festival with my grandma
- Ran a Dungeons & Dragons campaign in Hamilton on four hours of sleep
- Saw a mind-blowing movie (Clemency) at the Athena Film Festival
- Slept
Bwog’s epic lows:
- Wept openly in John Jay at 6 pm and people kept coming up to ask to take the chairs from my table, oblivious to my plight
- Going to Beta. Just the whole thing, the whole time
- Spent two days and two nights in Butler. No, I’m still not done with all my homework
- Was indifferent about going out but did so anyway and was punished by God for my lack of commitment (got my fake taken)
- Was consumed by the inertia of my life
- Cried in Butler for the first time
- Spent more than thirteen hours in a middle school, functioning on no sleep or food
- Almost died twice by taking a double dose of a prescription on Saturday and then choking on lettuce at a Chipotle on Sunday
- Woke up hungover and ate a suspicious slice of desk pizza in a room that wasn’t mine
- Thought a lot about stabbing Julius Caesar
