Bwog thinks about finals and opts to instead live a real life, which is… outside? In our room? Unclear.

“Finals”? Bwog’s never heard of those before. Just kidding, Bwog has very much heard of finals:

  • Avoided the looming doomsday feeling of finals until Sunday night, when it hit me all at once
  • Thought so, so, so much about syphilis for a final paper
    • (But it’s okay! I want to study epidemiology! Disease is fascinating and terrible!)
  • Wrote an eight-page essay completely inspired by “Extraordinary Machine” by Fiona Apple…
    • The essay is about Thomas Hobbes, and not Fiona Apple at all, but it’s a good essay!
  • Forgot I have a paper due on Monday
  • Had a few moments of breaking down into tears while working on my essay and taking my exam
  • Spent Saturday feeling completely foolish because I couldn’t get p-sets done
    • Spent Sunday realizing the p-sets were actually straightforward
  • Imagined being a marshmallow, and a slight amount of finals anxiety went away for a bit

Bwog logged off of school and visited the real world:

  • Drove an hour and a half each way to take a short walk
    • Was overly proud of this accomplishment (the joys and anxieties of being a new driver)
  • Raked a lot of leaves
  • Had a lovely walk with my marriage pact match (definitely wife material)
  • Put lights up on my house and did yard work and felt very happy
  • Walked a six-mile loop with my friend who I hadn’t seen in a while
    • Drank many hot beverages and caught up with each other and re-remembered why she’s one of my best friends
  • Went on a walk instead of working and tried to convince myself my neighborhood was actually Morningside Heights
  • Injured myself while drunkenly penny boarding at 12 am
  • Spent time outside because it’s finally cold in Florida!!! Unheard of!
  • Experienced my personal heaven (eating a breakfast burrito on a 1920s dam while looking at mountains)

Bwog logged off of school and instead of visiting the real world, realized there’s no place like my room:

  • Was introduced to Rina Sawayama
    • Promptly lost my mind
  • Cried because of a blanket
  • Started reading a horror novel even though I hate horror
    • Got scared by the horror novel, because I hate horror
    • Funny how that works
  • Rummaged through boxes for 10 hours
  • Burrowed after many things went wrong
  • Bought goth boots and goofed around all evening in my new boot-goofin goth boots!
  • Went to sleep at 8 pm, woke up at 11 pm for DWB/Zoom party, fell back asleep at 1 am and slept until 10 am and felt like I had lived many days
  • Realized I’m very much still a kid
