Simple and really good cranberry sauce for a dorm-friendly Friendsgiving!

If your favorite part of Thanksgiving is canned cranberry sauce, I am happy to inform you that you are wrong. If you are rightfully sick of gelatinous red chunks on your plate, here is a cheap and easy way to make really nice sauce.

Ingredients:

One 12oz bag of fresh cranberries

Sugar to taste, between ½ of a cup to a full cup

2 cups water

Orange zest to tate, between a teaspoon and a tablespoon (You can also replace some of the water with fresh juice if you want it to be extra orange-y)

Steps:

  1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan
  2. Bring to boil on medium heat
  3. Cook for about 10 minutes until berries are popping and the sauce starts to thicken
  4. Let cool a bit, and the sauce will thicken further
  5. Serve and enjoy!
