Fifteen Years of Measuring Access Network Performance

• Nick Feamster from the University of Chicago discusses the evolution of broadband performance measurement, addressing issues like quality of experience (QoE), equity of Internet access, and the role of machine learning in predicting service performance. Ethics Grand Rounds: Are We Ready for Psychedelic Medicine?

Dana Burton – Life and the NASA Ranger Missions to the Moon

• New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Room 432. Registration required.
• Dana Burton will discuss NASA’s Ranger program (1959–65), which aimed to capture lunar surface images but faced six failures before succeeding with Rangers VII–IX. The talk will explore the implications of these missions, including interplanetary biological contamination concerns and their relevance to current lunar exploration plans. More information.
