@yo! I saw Hawkmadinejad for the first time today! He swooped in from nowhere to settle on the tall tree between Butler and John Jay. Then he looked around contemptuously at us.

@so haw(k)! saw Hawkmadinajad today up on a tree in front of lewison. he was trying to grab a squirrel! the squirrel was shaken up pretty badly by the attack.

@publius Yesterday i was sitting in the common room of my 18th floor EC suite…I heard a noise and looked up — Hawkmadinejad was sitting on the perch! it was like something out of Poe.
@yes! hawkmadinejad’s second season will be much better than gossip girl’s–not least because, when he visits columbia, there’s no pretense that it’s somewhere else.
@curious I know this is a long-running joke, but what inspires people to use “madinejad” as a term of endearment? It’s strange, if you ask me.
@it's not a “term of endearment” it’s just a nickname. it’s funny and clever and doesn’t need to have some hidden meaning.
@yeah... he was name amidst the Ahmadinejad media frenzy that swept campus last year. If you have enough time/ want to procrastinate, try finding the first article and read through the naming process.
