Cow manure won’t play a role in contaminating the city’s water, but it’ll actually help it be cleaner. (Gothamist) In an effort to save New York State from bankruptcy, Gov. Paterson is withholding $750 million from schools and local governments. (NYT) Former Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s female escort has now been given her own sex advice […]
It’s always nice to open Facebook and find a friend request waiting for you, and better still if you’re a yet-to-matriculate freshman eager to meet your peers. But what happens when that friend isn’t, well, real? Bwog Editor James Downie goes gumshoe on the Case of Aaron Phillips in this winter’s issue of The Blue […]
Listen, new owners of 999 (at least, that’s what we think it’s called), formerly La Negrita: when New York Magazine names you “The Happening Bar” in the neighborhood, you give thanks and go about doing the things that, you know, won you the distinction in the first place. Lerner is turning 10 this year, but why throw a birthday party when you can throw a birthday party-themed STUDY BREAK?! According to tipsters, current Spectator design editor Ben Cotton will be the new editor-in-chief, while The Eye editor Thomas Rhiel will join him as managing editor. More to follow when more names […]

Speakers included Manhattanville landowner Nicholas Sprayregen, lawyer Norman Siegel, and state senator Bill Perkins. Bwog was there with a […]
