In a new email, Columbia College Dean Josef Sorett and Dean of Academic Affairs Lisa Hollibaugh announced that Columbia College and General Studies will introduce minors and phase out concentrations. The change will go into effect in Fall 2024.
Bell will end her tenure as both Provost and Dean of the Faculty at Barnard in 2024, but will remain a part of the College’s faculty as a researcher and will resume teaching after a sabbatical.
