At 1:15 pm on Friday, April 26, the Columbia University Senate held a plenary meeting to discuss ongoing events on campus. The Senate passed the Resolution Addressing Current Events, condemning the University. 

On Friday afternoon, Columbia University Apartheid Divest held a press conference in front of Butler Library to address the status of negotiations with the University.

On Friday, April 26, a Barnard spokesperson confirmed to Bwog that their administration has reached an agreement with “nearly all” Barnard students on interim suspension and restored their previously-rejected access to residence hall, dining, and classes. 

CC Dean Josef Sorett and GS Dean Lisa Rosen-Metsch announced new academic policies for the Spring 2024 semester after recent events surrounding the Encampment and related protests.

Gillian Lester will end her tenure as Dean of Columbia Law School at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year, but will return to full time teaching  as a member of the Faculty of Law.
