Welcome to Boringside Heights, in which Bwog chronicles the mundane modifications made on our campus and neighborhood! Just in time for your return/arrival, Columbia has improved itself. We shared with you dorm improvements, John Jay renovations, and the West Way redux. Check out what’s new for Fall 2011 below.
- cobblestones south of the Sundial have been smoothed= fewer stubbed toes
- water fountains with bottle filling stations in JJ and Hartley
- new Butler entrance ramp that lies flush against the stone
- Three cheers, Starbucks has arrived at Liz’s Place
- New sconces (aka mood lighting) in the Furnald lounge.
- A news-ticker/advert provider in the Lerner Citi.
- That trippy Carman painting that was lying on the floor is now hanging on the wall.
- Café East’s upgraded blue and white menu. Look, the old one peaks out on top
- A blackboard in front of Lerner makes Café East more “café.”
- JJ has some new airplane meal-esque OJ packages.
