Bwoglines: Men In The Media

Meth

When Breaking Bad ended in 2013 we were all sad. We didn’t know what would fill that void in our life, or the hour that was dedicated to watching Jesse call Walter a bitch. Now instead of re-watching Breaking Bad on Netflix, there is the spin off, Better Call Saul. The first episode premiered on February 8th and received a fresh 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. (AMC TV)

Brian Williams, the NBC news anchor (and Marnie from HBO’s Girls dad IRL), was suspended for 6 months from the network without pay. It came to light that he fabricated large portions of his story about his involvement in the helicopter and RPG incident in Iraq in 2003, and thus losing the trust of millions of viewers. (WSJ)

Sadly, on Tuesday another beloved anchor announced he was (willingly) stepping down from his post. Jon Stewart gave an emotion announcement, telling his fans that the end of the road was coming…..but not for a while. (CNN)

60 Minutes correspondent, Bob Simon, died late last night in a car accident in New York. It is reported that when the police arrived on the scene he was unconscious and unresponsive. He was promptly taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Public figures tweeted and passed along their condolences to the family and CBS. 60 Minutes will surely never be the same. (CNN)
