“The Cage”
Rise and shine, Columbia! Today we begin our anual coverage of room selection, providing you with live updates of availble rooms (see the spreadsheet below) and commentary on the crazy shit that goes down. If you have questions, feel free to leave a comment or submit a tip to tips@bwog.com. We anticipate that today will be the happiest of all the housing days, but maybe someone will still cry? We’ll let you know. Bwog will be sitting right outside The Cage with our friends at the Colombia Daily Spectador, so make sure to say hello!

@Lottery woes Does your remaining EC 5 person suite count (28 left at the end of Tuesday) include suites that are withheld for SIC/Greek life? Or are all 28 open to be picked by groups?
@Finn Klauber Our initial suite count is based off of Columbia Housing’s, meaning we’re pretty sure the suite count does not include those suites withheld from housing selection.
@hi do multiple groups have the same time window? wondering if groups can pick out of order of their lottery numbers if they get there earlier
@Betsy Ladyzhets Every group has a different time window; they’re usually about 3 minutes apart. If the group directly before you doesn’t show up at their time window, you can pick out of order.
@Asking for a friend How many 2 person EC flats are left, your numbers aren’t updated, I don’t think?

@Mason Amelotte I’m not sure you can find any official numbers on the housing website, but if you go on the floor plans for a specific residence hall, you should be able to add up the number of available suites of a specific #. Side note: any EC townhouse highlighted in blue is unavailable for selection, due to SICs, MCGs, or fraternities!

@Maddie Stearn Hi there- We can’t speak for the Shaft, but we check our numbers against the official housing numbers at regular intervals. If our numbers don’t match up with housing on the spreadsheet above, just check back in a few minutes.
@Anonymous can you include the numbers of the groups who are picking please?

@Mason Amelotte Anywhere from ~5 to 20 minutes usually!
