In the fourth installment of the Lewis-Ezekoye Distinguished Lecture in Africana Studies, physics and women’s studies professor Dr. Chanda Prescod-Weinstein spoke about access to cosmological studies and the importance of Black feminist analysis in science.

The 127th Annual Varsity Show: Campus in the Clouds premiered on May 7. Written by Wesley Schmidt (CC ’22) and Gigi Russo (BC ’22), directed by Christian Palomares (CC ’22), and produced by Mario Garcia (CC ’21) and Julia Hyman (BC ’22), the show is now available to stream on YouTube. 

Earlier today, President Bollinger announced the next phase of Columbia’s Sustainability Plan, which outlines emissions and sustainability goals for the next ten years. 

In the final SGA meeting of the semester, SGA’s Vice President for Finance, Danielle Hopkins BC ’21, presented the budget for the next academic year.

The 15th Annual Jeanne Clery Lecture Series on April 6 brought sex educators Bianca Laureano and Francisco Ramirez together for a conversation about sex, dating, and intimacy during the pandemic. 

This week, SGA heard a petition for an update to Barnard’s anti-discrimination policy, and viewed a presentation about Barnard’s finances in the past year. 

On April 1, Columbia College released the names of the 91 seniors who will be initiated into Phi Beta Kappa this spring.
