In an email sent out Thursday morning, Columbia notified the community of a future shift in University COVID-19 policy which will end the vaccine mandate and no longer require affiliates to report positive test results to the University.

In an email today, Columbia College released new guidance for COVID-19 protocols, most notably the end of mandatory classroom masking starting October 1.

Columbia University released updated plans for COVID-19 safety protocols this afternoon, including classroom masking through September.

Eligible Columbia affiliates now have until February 28 to receive and document a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to an email sent to Columbia community members Monday morning. 

Starting next semester, Barnard will require all eligible students, faculty, and staff to receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster. Additionally, beginning tomorrow, all Barnard dining halls will move to grab-and-go service entirely.

In an announcement Monday morning, the commissioner of New York City’s health department announced that all New Yorkers 18 and over would be eligible to receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Barnard and Columbia have released guidance on which students are eligible for COVID-19 booster shots, which includes students living in college residence halls.
