The final day of room selection is upon us…
It’s another day of shattered hearts and broken dreams. It’s . . . Housing™.
Hello lads! We’re back again for housing coverage on this lovely Tuesday. Today’s top stories: EC is on it’s way out, Barnard started their housing today with 4-person–can we get an F in the chats for most rising juniors and all rising sophomores, and tomorrow is the last day for all senior groups at Columbia!
We were gone yesterday, but today we are back and better than ever for day 4 of housing selection! Most of Hogan has been claimed, in addition to the rest of the 4-person suites in EC. Don’t worry seniors, it’s not time to despair, that’s for later.
We’re kicking off our housing coverage with a look at one of Barnard’s oldest residence halls, Hewitt! Situated in the quad alongside Brooks, Sulzberger, and Reid, this hall hosts mostly sophomores and juniors with some seniors. If you’re looking for a guaranteed single close to campus, this is a great choice for you.
It’s day five of in-person room selection, and we’ve gotta be honest: choices are looking a little bleak. All large suites are gone except for a couple in Claremont, and the doubles options have been narrowed to primarily Broadway, Schapiro, Nussbaum, and McBain (the worst dorm on campus?). But fear not, rising sophomores! Keep your heads […]
The second day of housing passed with most of Claremont, Ruggles, and Woodbridge disappearing into the hands of (somewhat unlucky) rising seniors and juniors. But never despair, Broadway is still entirely open, and that’s a pretty good gig for an unlucky rising junior. Watt has a bunch of studio doubles, too, and those can be […]
We can’t believe we are saying this, but today marks the final day of housing selection 2015. After days of tears, cowtails, bad playlists, and harassing our fellow classmates, we will be stationed outside The Cage for the last time today. Things are looking pretty bleak at this point considering McBain was wiped clean yesterday […]
Are we really still doing this? Anywho, today we kick off the second day of sophomore selection in John Jay Lounge! McBain was picked by a lot of groups yesterday, so we expect a similar trend in today’s selections. We’ll be sitting outside The Cage like always, so please tell us your lottery number and […]
Welcome to the fifth day of housing selection coverage! We’re going to warn you: things will only get darker from here on out. We finished up with all junior groups yesterday, so we’re moving onto some mixed groups and sophomores today. The McShame of McBain rain over you. We’ll be making fun of you outside […]
After a nice break from housing selection, we are back with day four of the fun. Today is going to be Junior Day with the rest of the class picking their dorms for next year. Per usual, we will be staked out right by The Cage to annoy all groups about what they picked into. […]
Alas, we reach the final day of selection for this week. We bade farewell to the seniors yesterday afternoon as we move into mixed senior-junior groups along with all junior groups today. Hogan and EC Townhouses have been wiped clean, but a few EC suites and Woodbridge are still open for the early junior pickers. […]
Hello, again! Day two of housing selection begins today, and we will be bringing you live coverage throughout the day. Seniors will continue to pick until this afternoon, so hopes and dreams will still be relatively attainable. We have some EC left along with Woodbridge and Hogan that we’re guessing will go by the end […]
Good Morning, Columbia students! As housing selection begins this morning, we will be bringing you our traditional live coverage of selection. We will be updating you via our witty liveblog as well as our Google Spreadsheet of how many rooms are left below. Feel free to leave us any questions in the comments that you may […]
