At approximately 3:15 pm on May 7, Butler 301 was occupied by Pro-Palestinian protesters, claiming to rename the library as Basel Al-Araj Popular University. Public Affairs notified the community of the protest one hour later, writing it will not be “tolerated.” Dozens of protesters were taken into custody by the NYPD starting around 7:30 pm.
