Construction work will take place throughout Barnard’s campus during Winter Break, mainly affecting Barnard Hall and Altschul Hall.
Construction on the Francine A. LeFrak Center for Well-Being has entered the demolition phase in Barnard Hall, causing the relocation of five offices across campus, as well as street and sidewalk closures along Claremont Avenue.
President Beilock has announced the creation of a new health and wellness center for the Barnard community, the Francine A. LeFrak Foundation Center for Well-Being, in an email shared this afternoon.
A man unaffiliated with the university was arrested in Barnard Hall for “criminal trespass and unlawful possession of marijuana.” According to reports from the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information’s office, the arrest occurred around 7:25 pm Tuesday night.
