Yesterday, Chief Architect of the IBM Food Trust and Columbia Alumnus Yi-Min Chee came to speak at Columbia about the business applications of blockchain technology in his lecture “Blockchain: A Solutions Perspective”. In collaboration with the Data Institute and the Foundations for Research Computing program, the Brown Institute for Media Innovation hosted this event as […]
Once again, Staff Writer Sam Azanza complains about something. This time, it’s about Barnard’s roommate questionnaire. As always, please take their articles with a grain of salt.
Yesterday in Mudd Hall, Martina T. Nguyen, Assistant Professor in History at Baruch College, led a lecture event on Political Literary Action and the Self-Strengthening Literary Movement in Vietnam. Bwog sent staff writer, Maya Corral, to cover the lecture. She spent some of her time confused about where exactly she was (what is Mudd hall), […]
It’s the day after Valentines Day, which means all of the cheap chocolates at Morton Williams are going on sale — stock up while you can. While you’re waiting in the Mo’ Willy’s line with your discount treats, catch up on some news about Amazon’s HQ2, iceberg theft, the terrifying world of cryptocurrency, and more.
It’s Valentine’s Day, and Senior Staff Writer Ramisa Murshed has a lot to get off her chest.

For others, that means exploiting the campus’s free chocolate and condom resources. Bwog has you covered with a list of all of the Valentine’s Day festivities happening on […]
Managing Editor Zack Abrams recently got a full weekend’s worth of fun out of a rented projector, adapter, and screen from IMATS at Barnard. Here’s his guide on how to bring the fun to your dorm room.
Staff Writer and Music Enthusiast Maya Corral makes the case for why CUMB should join the club(s) providing music grams to the masses. Join her on this chaotic journey.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Here, have some news about sperm, ambulance sirens, and polar bear invasions. You’re welcome.
Ahh, EC. The sophomore’s wet dream. The junior’s reach. The senior’s promise. Securing a suite in East Campus is the milestone every CU student pictures in their head as they slowly decay through housing selection. Spilling b*er on the couches. Accidentally running a Tide Pod through the dishwasher.
This week in Bwog’s Book Club, senior staffer Abby Rubel recommends sci-fi short story master Harlan Ellison. Bwog’s Book Club is intended to spread the literary love around campus and encourage you to pick up a book, as opposed to your iPhone, in your spare time.
Love is in the air as Valentine’s Day approaches, and Bwog has two more personals for you. Our final edition features Jenna, a bold Barnard first-year, and Leo, a seasoned senior and (more importantly) Capricorn. Interested? Send us a quick email at tips@bwog.com
Today’s personals include our lovely Sports Editor, Jana, and her legume-loving friend, Clara. If you’re looking for a running partner or a rugby competitor, you’ve come to the right place! If you’re interested, email us at tips@bwog.com.
A man unaffiliated with the university was arrested in Barnard Hall for “criminal trespass and unlawful possession of marijuana.” According to reports from the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information’s office, the arrest occurred around 7:25 pm Tuesday night.
