In an email sent earlier today, the Columbia College Senior Class Council announced the withdrawal of the 2022 Class Day speaker, Dr. George Yancopoulos, CC ‘80.

The committee took to Instagram Friday evening to address the hosting of the annual concert during the month of Ramadan.

In an email earlier today, Barnard announced the 2022 Commencement speaker and four other medalists, including Olympian Allyson Felix.

After two years of virtual festivals, the Bacchanal Student Committee has announced the spring concert will be held in-person but off-campus at Hell’s Kitchen music venue Terminal 5.

This afternoon, one day after Columbia University released updated plans for COVID-19 safety protocols, Barnard students received a new set of guidelines in an email from Marina Catallozzi, VP of Health and Wellness. 

According to an email sent this afternoon, students will no longer be required to fill out daily attestations to access Columbia facilities, and masking indoors will become optional on campus, effective March 14.

This afternoon, President Bollinger announced that the university will begin assisting students and scholars that have been displaced by the war in Ukraine.

Columbia Facilities and Operations announced this afternoon that they will begin removing tents around campus in response to the University’s changes in COVID-19 safety protocols.

University administration announced this afternoon that 2022 Commencement will take place in-person on May 18 on Columbia’s Morningside campus. Additionally, the Classes of 2020 and 2021 will both be recognized in an in-person ceremony the following day. 

Eligible Columbia affiliates now have until February 28 to receive and document a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to an email sent to Columbia community members Monday morning.
