With the National Weather Service warning us of flash floods and wind gusts of up to 70 mph, today was shaping up to be a terrible day for not only students, but umbrellas as well. Oh parasols protecting us from pernicious precipitation… we hardly had the chance to know each other. In fact, Bwog’s armchair […]

If you had a craving for a freshly-made salad or sandwich from Café 212 this weekend, you probably found yourself out of luck. Indeed, in a move that disappoints many, Dining Services recently made the decision to stop its salad and sandwich services on the weekends. According to Director of Dining Vicki Dunn, the café […]

One or two (but certainly not three!) of you had something to say about last semester’s unfortunate Study Day(s?) timing. No one wants to study for Econometrics two days before Christmas, so Marisa Rama and Jordan Hewson, both CC ’12, created a Facebook group as a form of petition against future years following the same […]

A view from John Jay 10. Thanks to Chris McGinn, CC ’13, for sending this in!

In the Bronx, as part of a gun buyback program, people got cash for turning in their guns… even BB guns. Junior forward Judie Lomax has once again been a force for the women’s basketball team all year long, leading the team in both points and rebounds per game. Lomax outdid even her normally high standards last night, though, tying her career high with 30 points, to go with a not-insignificant 17 rebounds, in the Lions’s […]

New vending machines in Butler Cafe and Uris are getting macho and crunchy, respectively. The B-School cafeteria, which already basically monopolizes the other vending machines on this campus anyway, is offering FreshDirect microwaveables: Rosa Mexicano Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas with Ranchera Sauce, Terrance Brennan Beef Bourguignon with Egg noodles, and Wild Alaskan Halibut with Wild […]

And our own bubble tea! Omnomnom!

The term “Old Master” encompasses a lot more tacky artwork than you would have guessed. (NY1) Remember that time over the summer when Republicans took control of the state Senate? Yeah, well, it might happen again. (LI Press) Another attorney general wants to run for governor, hopefully with better results. (Daily News) Speaking of infidelity, […]
