This week, SGA heard from Dean of Beyond Barnard A-J Aronstein to learn more about support for students graduating into an economic recession.

On Monday night, SGA heard from President Sian Leah Beilock about Barnard’s support of transgender and non-binary students, fundraising goals, and yup, you guessed it: plans for the Spring 2021 semester. 

This week, Rep Council sat down with Provost Linda A. Bell, Dean Christina Kuan Tsu, and Dean Wendy Garay to discuss hybrid and hy-flex classes, the experiences of first-years and transfer students, and the status of Barnard’s commitment to fighting anti-Black racism.

This week, SGA learned more about the legal side of Barnard operations, including the pay freeze and the hiring freeze, and COVID resources for Barnard staff.

On Monday night, the SGA Rep Council met with Dean Leslie Grinage and Vice Dean for Campus Life, Nikki Youngblood-Giles to discuss Barnard’s COVID-19 response this semester and next.
