Finding housing in this city can be a real bitch, but Columbia […]

The half-finished commencement bleachers say it all: it’s time for the Class of 2014 to start bidding their fair Columbia adieu. In honor of this year’s graduating class, Bwog has started our 2014 round of Senior Wisdoms. If you have a senior you’re dying to nominate, send their name and why they deserve to share their […]
An investigative tipster sent us a surprisingly thorough list (PDF) of artists and their booking prices from music agency Degy Entertainment. According to Degy, booking Lupe costs $65,000–$80,000, which looks roughly in line with Bacchanal’s rumored budget. This makes him not quite the cheapest headliner in recent years. Here’s the cost of the past few years’ headliners, according […]
This semester’s production of Passing Strange is a joint effort between BTE (Columbia University’s Black Theatre Ensemble) and CMTS (The Columbia Musical Theatre Society). Never ones to miss a good show, we sent musical-theatre maven Julia Goodman to review. For those interested in seeing the show for themselves, the last performance is tonight at 8pm; […]
You probably thought the admissions cycle was over for the year with the release of decisions way back in March. But students have until May 1 to deposit meaning that high school seniors languishing on the waitlist still don’t know whether they will be a part of the class of 2018. Bwog staff writer Britt […]
We suppose there’s a reason why you don’t regularly hear about people studying in Schermerhorn’s little-known Geology Library. Maybe because it closes about 7 hours before we even start to think of our homework. In any case, some people go there, apparently. And then this happened. If it’s so easy you could do it by accident…Oh, […]
