A tipster spotted the follow desperate measure during one of the last days of finals hell. So many questions—is this printing limit evasion? How can one textbook have so many pages? Dare we ask, are these single-sided? Also, just throwing it out there, the environment…? We’ll file this under “people we don’t want to stand behind in […]
Be on the lookout for the November and December issues of The Blue & White, on campus this week everywhere you look in Butler. As we always have done, Bwog will honor our heritage/amorous affair with our mother magazine by posting features from the upcoming issue. Below, Tom Humphreys asks a very important question: who […]
Well, easy come easy go. With just one day left before the end of the semester, the tarp-less streak has come to an end as the South Lawn waved the white flag of surrender. Before we could get a response from Facilities regarding their absence, several tipsters informed us that the tarps were brought out […]
Even if your plan to stay on campus over break was to live the life of a Real New Yorker (suggestions: every morning walk an imaginary dog with the Times under your arm, reenact the top ten Seinfeld moments of all time, playing all parts), you might want to know about a few events coordinated by […]
The end is almost in sight. As our neighbors take off for home left and right, we bid you good luck heading into those last couple finals. It’s only a few more hours of misery and procrastination until freedom, but that doesn’t mean it was easy for Bwog to get out of bed this morning. […]
On this eerily warm, moist afternoon, if South Field has ever gone the entire first semester without being covered by ghastly (ghostly?) white tarps? Bwog has actually reached out to Facilities to ask this question, and will update with the answer. The weather this semester has been awfully strange. Today’s tropical jungle climate certainly doesn’t […]
In today’s installment of Actual Wisdom, meet film professor Richard Peña. Besides teaching at Columbia, he is Program Director of the Film Society at Lincoln Center and Director at the New York Film Festival (see OldBwog’s first and second interviews about that, from before we even knew what theory was). It’s fair to say that […]
While most of you have BS’d your way through your last final by now, we know there’s a small, yet valiant group of Columbians who still have an test or two standing in the way of their post-finals freedom. Though nothing is quite as satisfying as turning in that last exam (or as cathartic as […]
Be on the lookout for the December issue of The Blue & White, arriving on campus this week. In the meantime, Bwog will honor our heritage/amorous affair with our mother magazine by posting features from the upcoming issue. Such treats include a discussion of Occupy Wall Street with Columbia professor Todd Gitlin, a look at Columbia’s proposal for a new […]
Hooray! [Some of ] You are done with finals. So what’s next? Before you cram all of your belongings into an unreasonable number of suitcases and ship home for the holidays to bask in the glory of parental bickering and endless free food, Bwog has a few simple reminders for you. Use Carsplit to save […]
Be on the lookout for the December issue of The Blue & White, on campus this week. In the meantime, Bwog will honor our heritage/amorous affair with our mother magazine by posting features from the upcoming issue. Such treats include a breakdown of Barnard’s budget woes, a look at Columbia’s proposal for a new engineering […]
More than halfway there! People lucky enough to be done with finals have started leaving already, but probably like most of you, Bwog is still slumped in bed dreaming of Milano sandwiches and about not having to take this exam in two hours. It’s an oral one, do you think we can bring food? Bwogline: […]
