GSSC was fairly short and more of the same this week, with the council voting to allocate funds toward events such as Snack Attacks, the GS Barnard picnic, and the like. 

Bwog’s Book Club returns this week, with Bwogger Levi Cohen here to rhapsodize about British author Helen Oyeyemi’s 2017 short story collection, What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours. Bwog’s Book Club was started with the intention of spreading the literary love around campus and encourage you to pick up a book in your spare time.

What’s even impressive than receiving an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony)? Getting a Senior Wisdom.

7 days have passed. It is Wednesday again.

After the raucous John Jay Awards Dinner, Senior Bwogger, Leo Bevilacqua (CC ’19), takes you behind the Pantone 292 curtain once more (maybe for the last time). Seriously, someone call the FBI, cause he may be needing Witness Protection very soon.

Yesterday, Bwog Science Editor Alex Tang attended “Translation of the Genetic Code: Brakes Included,” a Department of Biological Sciences seminar hosted by Dr. Elizabeth Grayhack (University of Rochester). Here, he tells us about the central dogma of molecular biology, and recent efforts to analyze some of its surprising inefficiencies.

This afternoon, Barnard released the list of 56 Phi Beta Kappa inductees for 2019. This group follows the group announced in the fall semester. The full list can be found below. Congratulations to these seniors!

Generally considered to be among the best of Barnard’s dorms, 620 is highly desired among seniors and juniors with great lottery numbers. On the upper floors, there are massive windows, lots of singles, and great views. Just watch out for the hill and dangerous proximity to Shake Shack.
