Let’s keep the housing review train chugging.
We’re kicking off our housing reviews series by starting off with good ol’ plomp.
Reid: known for its lack of air conditioning, home to so much more.
Wallach, a freshpeople dorm with an upperclassmen mix for a mature vibe, is perfect for independent freshpeople who enjoy the quiet and those who don’t want to venture out into the cold to grab their meals. Great perks include a piano in the lounge and a study sky lounge.
Hartley is might be the ugly duckling of the freshpeople dorms but it’s hiding a heart of gold (and sometimes cockroaches).
John Jay’s got the singles that are ready to mingle. Also, food and beautiful views.
You’ll probably find yourself drunk here at least once… today’s housing review is good old (actually no, it’s renovated) Carman!
Light wooden desks, built-in bulletin boards, and gorgeous windows: welcome to Sulzberger Hall. The newest hall in the Quad, Sulz is the only one with AC and controlled heating. So, if you are lucky enough to room at Sulz, sit back and enjoy your beautiful temperature-controlled room!
Claremont offers homey off-campus suites with nice amenities, so if you can brave the walk (which really isn’t actually that long) Claremont is the dorm for you.
Sophomores have finished choosing, and now it’s up to the rising junior/sophomore mixed groups to snatch up what remains.
627 West 115th Street, yet to be given a catchier nickname, is a brownstone perfect for students looking to live in apartment-style housing without too many neighbors.
Barnard’s housing selection is almost half-done, but that doesn’t mean that the show is over. 6-person selection starts tomorrow–and YOU could be the lucky duckling to pick into the middle child of the 600s.
Welcome to this housing review, which is largely just a textual shrine to the cultural reset that is Broadway Hall’s elevator system.
Want housing super closeby to campus, Broadway, and Riverside Park while living the life in a suite of up to 7 of your friends? Look no further than Barnard’s 620!
Looking for somewhere quieter but still in a relatively central location? Now what if I told you you’d be in a single? Check out River Hall if you’re a junior with an alright number, or a senior who didn’t get EC!
